Hello and welcome to my random photo page!

Note: My Photo Of The Day format has been discontinued because of the excessive time in digging them out of my thousands of photographs and the time involved in creating a daily Blog entry. Now instead, you get to randomly see some of my favorite photographs.

All of the above random photos were taken by myself. You can change the photo by simply recycling this page…as many times as you like as there are well over 1,000 photos stored in the random file. Bookmark this page and comeback every day to see a different photo!

I left home and joined the U.S. Navy when I was 17 years old back in 1958. That’s when I started my ramblin’ ways and for most of my life I’ve been a rambler. Unfortunately I did not get involved in photography until 1974. In those years since, I’ve taken many photos.

So what good are photos if no one gets to see them?

That is why I created this Blog, It’s my intent to allow you To randomly see some of my favorite photos.

You will only see what I call “honest” photos on this Blog! I refuse to use image altering programs such as Photoshop to create what I call phony photographs. You know the kind I’m talking about! The ones that have been so doctored up they just look unreal.

I admit to using Picasa3 for only minor cropping and perhaps a little color touch up. That’s it! I hope you enjoy my random photos!

This photo was taken in Panama during my 343 day, 16,000+ mile RV trip through Mexico and Central America in 2004. The Panama City skyline reminded us of San Diego, California. Back in 2004 I was still using a film camera and had to tape two photos together…

This photo was taken Canyon de Chelly National Monument in remote northeast Arizona on May 27, 2012. We are on a tour truck. Approximate three hours later this vehicle had a steering failure and went off the edge of a cliff, overturned and slid upside-down into a ravine. The man on the left in the brown hat and white sweatshirt was killed. Four others were critically injured and flown to Flagstaff Arizona for emergency surgery. I was helicoptered to the top of a 1,000 foot cliff to a waiting ambulance for a 20 mile ride to a local medical facility. Mary and I are still struggling with our injuries from this tragic accident.
